Emergency lighting is very important when properly installed and maintained and plays a key role along with other emergency equipment.
No one can imagine what it would be like to be in a smoke filled building and the emergency lighting has failed and you cannot see your way to an emergency exit. EDC usually installs emergency lighting as a part of an overall electrical installation or service.

Pat Testing

imagesCAAB4NXIAll our testing is carried out in accordance with: The Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Code of Practice.
PAT testing is regarded as the best way to meet the electrical regulations which exist to protect tenants, employees and customers, as if an electrical accident were to happen due to a portable appliance being faulty, you could end up in a difficult situation.

Rewires (Full & Part)

Wiring in the home can become damaged over the years by deterioration or even DIY, many people only get their home rewired after they have discovered a problem, but with regular testing, problems can be spotted early and repaired at a fraction of the cost of arewire.
Generally rewiring should be carried out every 25 years but this may be longer if inspected and maintained regularly and may even not need a complete rewire, sockets and circuit boards are also affected by age and deterioration and also need regular inspections.

cctvHome security and CCTV is considered vital in crime prevention and detection.
With a home CCTV system installed, only a fool would attempt a burglary in full view of a cameras. For most people the cameras provide a high level of deterrence and can prevent the burglary or damage occurring.

Landlord Periodic Test Inspections

An Electrical Installation Condition Report is very important to any landlord or letting agent to ensure that you have taken the necessary precautions to prevent the risk of a fire, personal injury and even death. Therefore it is in your best interests to have complied with the safety regulations to carry out a test and inspection of your electrical system and provide a copy of the report for your tenants.

Domestic Testing

domestic testingAll domestic homes and buildings should have domestic and periodic inspections as there may have been multiple tenants if renting, or previous owners who may have carried out various DIY projects and have unknowingly effected the safety of the electrics, therefore putting you and your family at risk.

Mains powered alarms
The mains powered alarms are the preferred replacement for domestic battery powered alarms as they run off the mains power supply with a battery back up in an event of a power fault these are often linked to one another if there is more than one on a system so if one detector sounds so will the others in the circuit. they can also be used in conjunction with a 24volt system as a backup alarm.
